An exciting opportunity awaitsfor an enthusiastic and dedicated Occupational Health Nurse to join the team at McKechnie Aluminium, working 20 hours per week.
Flexibility is essential within the role to support our afternoon shift employees as needed.
The Role: As the Occupational Health Nurse you will be play a critical role in promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of employees within the workplace.
Your responsibilities will combine clinical care and health assessments with a focus on ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, preventing work-related injuries and illnesses and supporting overall employee wellness.
We are looking for someone to join us who can: Deliver a range of services including: pre-employment medicals, exit medicals, drug screening, wellness health checks, workplace assessments, and annual health monitoring.
Have a meaning impact of employee's daily lives Engage with, and support the First Response Team Take a proactive approach to injury rehabilitation Offer advice and guidance to employees on physical and mental health issues and guide them toward community resources and/or employee assistance providers.
Work with individuals from diverse background.
About you: As an experienced Occupational Health Nurse, you will: Have a tertiary Nursing qualification as well as a current practicing certificate Have a minimum of 2 years previous experience as an Occupational Health Nurse Have excellent people skills, particularly professional relationship management skills Hold a current independent vaccinators certificate (preferred but not essential) Maintain confidentiality with all information, demonstrating high integrity, professionalism, and discretion Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Be keen to learn and adapt to new situations Have a drug screening Certificate of Competence Have a positive attitude, bringing a strong sense of innovation to create a fantastic service.
