This role will drive a positive safety culture for Ryman Development, Design and Construction that actively promotes a safe environment for all employees, residents, contractors, sub-contractors and visitors.
This role leads a team of dedicated Health & Safety professionals and provides subject matter expertise.
This role also is responsible for supporting contractor management.General Responsibilities include:Influencing a positive safety culture and supporting a working environment where safety is a key part of everything we doStaying updated with industry developments and legislative changes impacting health and safety.Evaluating findings from investigations, sharing learnings and implementing changes that will reduce risk in future.Ensuring that appropriate H&S training is in place for Ryman construction team members.Managing a system for reporting safety risks, incidents and near misses that is effective.Leading the continuous improvement of the Ryman Construction Safety Management System.Overseeing the Identification, management, application of controls and reporting on critical risks to the construction leadership team with a view to eliminating or reducing risk.Driving the delivery of the HSWE plan, working with the broader teams to ensure engagement and consistency.What's in it for you?If you are the sort of person who loves working with a team of people who work to a clear purpose and have safety at the forefront of everythingthat they do, you'll love this role!
