Fulltime (1FTE), Fixed term (12 months) positionMonday to Friday roleBased at Starship Hospital, Grafton, AucklandTe whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityAre you passionate about achieving equitable outcomes for mokopuna and whanau Maori?Do you want to protect the integrity of whakapapa and uphold the divinity of our mokopuna in your mahi?The Nurse Specialist – Kaiarahi Nahi role has a focus on Maori as a population group and requires dual expertise in Maori health advocacy and clinical practice.This role works across the surgical planned care pathways and works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide expert advice, care coordination, resources, and support healthcare professionals engaging with whanau Maori.We are looking for Maori registered nurses with:A current NZ Practicing certificate and a passion to improve health outcomes for Maori.Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in either the Community or hospital setting.Knowledge of Te Ao Maori and an understanding of the application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice.Advanced clinical skills and the ability to coordinate complex care delivery for mokopuna and whanau.The ability to form strong, meaningful connections with mokopuna, whanau, and kaimahi that acknowledges, protects, and enhances their mana.To apply please click on the 'Apply' tab below, outlining your experience and motivation to apply to this role and attaching your updated CV and Covering Letter.
