Nurse Practitioner - Southland Community Mental HealthInvercargill Community Mental Health TeamSouthland HospitalSalary Band – $136,815– $162,802 p.a prorata + Kiwisaver + car parkNegotiable FTE up to 1.0 FTECould be job share OR FIFO/periodical contractsExceptional MDT + opportunity to make a differenceMo te turanga | About the roleBased within our Community Mental Health Team in Invercargill, the Nurse Practitioner will assist in improving client health and reducing health inequalities and clinical risk for service users by identifying high-risk and complex health needs.This role will:Assess, diagnose, treat and care plan for Tangata whai ora who have a mental illness,Provide consultancy, clinical leadership, and skilled advanced nursing practice,Actively work on strengthening partnerships/alliances with internal and external stakeholders,Develop alternative models of care,Provide initial assessments for new referrals to the service,Demonstrate advanced nursing leadership and mentorship,Collaborate with other Te Whatu Ora Health Services and NGOs,Deliver on the objectives of the national health strategy,Contribute to the research agenda within the mental health service.To be successful in this role, you will work autonomously, but also in conjunction with an integrated and multi-disciplinary team and deliver quality evidence-based care to your own case load.
