We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dedicated team at a leading family health general practice in the heart of Taranaki. As a core member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive, patient-centred, and culturally appropriate care to our enrolled whanau. Your expertise and commitment will contribute to the well-being of individuals and their families, ensuring that they receive holistic primary care in a professional, friendly, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver holistic primary care services to individuals, whanau/family, and the community.Provide patient-centred care that is culturally appropriate and respects the values and needs of our diverse patient base.Collaborate closely with the nursing and GP teams, offering clinical guidance, assistance, education, and support.Foster an environment where whanau feel treated with professionalism, care, and courtesy.Work within the framework of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the practice.Key Qualifications and Requirements: Registered Nurse Practitioner with current Annual Practising Certificate.Full, clean NZ Driver Licence.At least two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care setting.Experience with electronic patient management systems (e.g. Indici).Strong understanding of the challenges facing not-for-profit organisations, as well as the health and social services sector.Ability to manage competing work demands and priorities effectively.Proven experience working successfully in a team environment.Well-developed written and oral communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and work effectively with diverse teams.Strong organisational skills and the ability to take responsibility for task completion.A practical understanding of the aspirations and challenges facing Maori communities.Experience in applying Tikanga Maori in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant, supportive, and collaborative team.
