As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership to enhance patient treatment and care planning for elective surgical patients and oncology patients at Mercy Hospital.
This is a permanent role offered at 0.7 FTE (28 hours per week) to be worked on a rotating roster Monday-Saturday between the hours of 0800 AM – 1030 PM.
Specific Duties Include Collaborating with Credentialed Specialists to optimise health outcomes for consumers
Providing comprehensive care across the healthcare continuum for the Mercy patient group
Overseeing and supporting the management of patients with complex needs
Providing clinical leadership support and education to staff
Skills and Experience Alongside your extensive clinical experience, our ideal candidate will also be an excellent communicator with proven clinical credibility within the healthcare industry. You will also need to demonstrate the following:
Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Nurse Practitioner
Hold a current practising certificate with prescribing authority
Proficiency in advanced nursing procedures
Minimum of 4 years of clinical practice within the defined scope of specialty practice
New Zealand Resuscitation Council CORE qualification
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to relate well to health professionals and members of the public
Possess the ability to think outside the square, communicate effectively, and promote best practice and standards of care
