An exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join the Wairarapa Emergency Department Team. In this role, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership to enhance patient treatment and care planning in Wairarapa for patients within the Emergency Department. This is provided within an interdisciplinary model that best meets the patient requirements and is in line with the vision and values of Wairarapa District.
Achieving the best health outcomes for our patients starts with expecting the best from ourselves, and right now Health New Zealand - Wairarapa is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Emergency Department Team. This position provides advanced clinical expertise and leadership to enhance patient treatment and care planning in Wairarapa for patients within the Emergency Department.
Our Emergency Nurse Practitioner team practices independently and collaboratively to utilise advanced health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment implementation in both adult and paediatric patients to reduce waiting times, reduce ED length of stay, and increase patient satisfaction for people presenting to the Emergency Department.
The role also provides clinical expertise and leadership to optimise patient outcomes and develop effective models of care in the department through quality initiatives, teaching, and mentoring.
Mou - About you
You have a New Zealand Registered Nurse Practitioner qualification including Registration & current Annual Practising Certificate. You have recent clinical experience in an emergency care setting. You have current knowledge about issues within nursing and acute care nursing. Sound knowledge and understanding of medico/legal and ethical responsibilities.
