Nurse Manager, Infection, Prevention & Control The Opportunity Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral is excited to announce a vacancy for the role of Nurse Manager, Infection Prevention & Control. This position could be a 0.8-1.0 FTE on discussion with the successful candidate.
This is a dynamic leadership position, providing excellent opportunity to lead a small team. The role has the responsibility to deliver an infection, prevention & control programme that meets the Nga Paerewa Health and Disability services standard (NZS 8134:2021). As the role is both strategic and operational, advanced practice knowledge and skill is essential with a focus on understanding surveillance, microbiology, the healthcare environment, and service delivery with consumers at the forefront of every decision.
The Nurse Manager works collaboratively across the interdisciplinary, organisational team, to positively influence consumer outcomes and use data for change. It requires demonstrated expert communication and change management skills to champion high level quality improvement within the specialty.
Minimum Requirements The Nurse Manager will be responsible for:
Leading the infection prevention and control programme. Collaborating with healthcare teams to improve consumer outcomes. Utilizing data to inform changes in practice. Implementing quality improvement initiatives.
