We are actively supporting our amazing network of 57 general practices, in sourcing the necessary talent they need to continue providing the care that our population deserve.
The Opportunity One of our practices is currently seeking a new Nurse Manager, to lead their small team of 4 practice nurses. This will require 3 x days clinical on the floor and 2 x days management.
This practice prides itself on providing a highly engaging and welcoming work environment and having the team working at top of scope as much as possible.
With a strong emphasis on professional development, this role may suit an existing Nurse Manager, or a senior Primary Care Practice nurse who is looking for their first step up into a leadership role. Detailed leadership training and support can be provided as required.
Previous nurse leadership experience in a Primary Health setting or 3 years dedicated Practice Nurse experience and a desire to move into leadership
Current independent Authorised Vaccinator Certificate (preferred)
Authorised Smear taker (preferred)
Strong cultural confidence and competence, keeping whanau at the centre of the care provided
An understanding of Tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how to practically apply these principles in your work
Involvement in designing and implementing new protocols and clinical guidelines and policies
Clinical education experience and the desire to teach modern nursing practices
