An opportunity has arisen for a permanent part time position teaching in the undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing programme at the Tairawhiti campus for a Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate.
The successful applicant will teach specific subjects in the Bachelor of Nursing facilitating the learning process through a wide variety of planned learning experiences. They will participate in ongoing curriculum development and the development of course materials and will also contribute to the ongoing development of teaching and learning in the online platform with the opportunity to seek out professional development opportunities.
A Masters of Nursing or equivalent is desirable but applicants who are working towards a Masters Degree will be considered.

Akonga / Student Learning - teach specific subjects in the Undergraduate Nursing/Health Science ProgrammesTeamwork - the successful applicant will work in a small team who works closely with the larger team in Hawke's Bay. Wide range and up-to-date nursing practice experiences, essential.Tertiary teaching experience in nursing, desired.Knowledge of the Nursing Council of New Zealand Competency requirements for the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice, essential.Sound knowledge, and application, of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in teaching, desired.An understanding of Kawa Whakaruruhau and current approaches to cultural safety in the delivery of learning, required.Highly developed oral, written, computing and interpersonal skills, essential.Proven organisational and planning skills, essential.High degree of professional judgement and integrity.Friendly and approachable manner.Flexible and responsive approach.Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and holds a current annual practicing certificate, required.Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Health Science or a related area, required.Master of Nursing (or equivalent postgraduate qualification) or plan to achieve same, desired.
