Medplus is a vibrant, innovative general practice, offering healthcare services through GPs and nurses on the North Shore with easy access to the Northern Motorway. Working closely with the Clinical GP Lead and the Medical Centre Leadership Team, we are looking for a clinical driver to advance Medplus and keep us at the forefront in primary healthcare. The Nurse Team Leader is a pivotal person in the medical centre environment, as they are responsible for co-ordinating nursing services in the practice.
The Nurse Team Leader:

Provides leadership
Is responsible for the clinical management and support of the nursing team.
Develops the nursing services
Ensures that the nursing team delivers high-quality care to the patients who visit the practice.
Investigates and monitors clinical incidents
Provides clinical backup and helps with quality systems and procedures.
Leads by example, showing a high level of professionalism, sensitivity, respect and confidentiality when dealing with colleagues and patients.

Ideal Candidate:

NZ Nursing Registration and APC
Recent experience in primary care, either as a charge/lead nurse or similar
Great interpersonal skills
Accurate documentation and commitment
Ability to work well as part of a team
Able to provide support & encouragement
Effective with change management
Experience with managing 5+ nurses and liaising with a practice team of 30+.
