It's about enjoying coming to work every day, feeling challenged, trusted and supported, whilst enjoying living in a region that has a lifestyle unrivalled in New Zealand.Health New Zealand is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and holds stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Maori as Tangata Whenua as the highest priority.About the roleWe are seeking an Educator to implement safewards, who has a passion for promoting, facilitating and providing clinical education that maximises health care delivery, enhances turoro outcomes, and promotes clinical excellence and evidence-based professional nursing practice.This person will be driven to ensure excellent person centred and recovery focused service delivery, while identifying and realising opportunities to change and improve the service.The position will:Promote clinical excellence through the facilitation, development and provision of ward/unit based education programmes and resourcesDevelop the competence and capability of the nursing workforce within the clinical areaDemonstrate a commitment to quality improvement by leading and/or participating in quality improvement activitiesDemonstrate consistently high clinical standards, clinical leadership and professionalismAbout youThe successful applicant will have:New Zealand Registered Comprehensive or Psychiatric Nurse with current annual practicing certificatePDRP at designated senior nursing level or Level 4Post Graduate DiplomaAt least 3 years' experience in the relevant specialty areaTumanako mental health acute in-patient service provides a full range of comprehensive care and treatment interventions including assessment, group, family/whanau and individual therapies, hospital based therapies and consultation services as an important part of the Mental Health and Addiction Services in Northland.A career with Health New Zealand will see you action meaningful change in the region we love, and in your professional development – all whilst enjoying everything the stunning North has to offer.
