Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a tertiary level 3 ICU covering cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, trauma, paediatric and all general specialty patients requiring intensive care. We are looking for full-time Nurse Educator to join our team and provide clinical expertise, education and support to our large and diverse nursing staff. This is a fixed term position for one year.

You will be an effective communicator and your approachable manner will find you acting as a clinical resource and support person for both new and experienced staff.
As a Nurse Educator you will be part of the Senior Nursing Team. You will develop a strong education frame work that will incorporate evidence based and best practice principles related to patient care. You will be expected to utilise your teaching skills to support changes in clinical practice and patient care.
Ko wai koe | About You Continuing the development of widespread competence in the nursing team is essential, and it requires a strategic planned approach to be successful. This role facilitates the progression of current education resources, as well as the development of future strategic growth. So, if you are a Registered Nurse with extensive medical nursing experience and a passion for education we would love to hear from you.
Your broad knowledge and extensive experience will place you perfectly as an educational resource for the team. This will allow you to coach and support the clinical learning of the nursing team while promoting evidence-based practice. You will be supported through close collaboration with the Nursing Director and Senior Nursing team within General Medicine and the wider cluster. This Nurse Educator role includes developing and strengthening current education resources and delivery of programs, as well as supporting individual learning plans.
