About the Role We are looking for an experienced nurse to join us in the Professional Development Unit for the role of Nurse Coordinator - Pre-registration Nursing Programmes. The purpose of this role is to support, develop and enable quality student placements and learning experiences in our clinical areas and Dedicated Education Units (DEUs). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, co-ordination and continuous improvement of our Pre-registration Nursing Programmes, as well as establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with tertiary education providers and clinical and professional nursing leaders. The role also contributes to developing preceptorship models in partnership with Nurse Educators from the Professional Development Unit.

About you Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

Proven ability to guide others in applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles to enhance health outcomes and equity for Maori. Demonstrated ability to guide others in applying principles of cultural safety in practice. At least four years post registration experience in New Zealand's healthcare context. Successful track record in facilitating learning, mentorship, and coaching activities. Demonstrated ability in meeting the requirements for an expert / senior level on the Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP). Excellent skills in relationship management, interpersonal communication, and negotiation. Accomplished history of effectively overseeing clinical and quality-focused projects. Evidence of successful study at a postgraduate level. Possession of business acumen and financial insights would be a valuable asset.
