Northland Research Fieldworker

We're in search of a team member crucial to tourism/visitor experience proposal in the Far North District, Northland. The role would be based at various locations around the Far North District, including places Waipoua Forest, Paihia, Kerikeri, and Waitangi. You will be recruiting visitors to participate in an online survey. We're seeking reliable candidates with exceptional communication skills and the flexibility to thrive both independently and within a team.We'll work around your schedule! We'll agree on your shifts in advance and offer flexibility to accommodate your availability. Full training will be provided with ongoing support from our Wellington based team.This role starts in April 2024 and continues until September 2024, but we are willing to accept applications if you can part of this period only.Key responsibilities include:Recruiting visitors to participate in a survey, adhering to the research methodology and sampling procedure.Reporting back to and liaising with our Wellington team.Our ideal candidate would…Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Be reliable, confident, enthusiastic, and proactive.Have market research, sales, or a customer-facing role experience (preferred but not essential).Have flexibility in their schedule.Be comfortable using technology (iPads, survey software, smartphones etc.).Have a reliable form of transport (with your own vehicle and driver's license).Key details about the role:Start April 2024 on a fixed-term contract to September 2024 (some flexibility possible, if can't commit to full term).Approximately 6-15 hours per week, with flexible days/hours.Competitive hourly rate of $26 - 32 (depending on experience).Contribution to transport costs and some other expenses.
