Northern Health School - Auckland West Unit Seeking experience working with NCEA level students plus good understanding of NCEA at all levels. Strong curriculum knowledge in NCEA maths an advantage, but not essential.
Confident teaching online. Ability to speak te reo Maori and/or connections with local iwi highly valued.
Recent experience teaching the New Zealand Curriculum preferred.
This position is also being advertised in Primary/Intermediate (Y1-8) section.
Fixed term role (parental leave cover) for 2025 school year.
While cover is required 0.8FTTE for terms 1 and 2 (2025), parental leave cover will drop to 0.4FTTE for terms 3 and 4. However, it is likely that ongoing 0.8 hours will be required due to a school roll that increases throughout the year.
We invite applications from fully registered teachers with knowledge of the NZ school curriculum to join our Auckland West teaching. While currently based in Grafton, we will be relocating to West Auckland during 2025.
We provide education and transition support for year 0-14 students whilst ill health prevents them attending their regular school. We are therefore keen to hear from teachers with flexibility and empathy, and an ability to adapt teaching to the unique needs of the individual student. Ability to speak te reo Maori and/or connections with local iwi highly valued.
Northern Health School is a Ministry of Education funded school. School management and administration is predominantly based in Auckland with school units in centres throughout the north island from Kaitaia to Gisborne, Taupo and Taranaki.
