Nocturnist in Internal Medicine | Gisborne New ZealandOdyssey Recruitment – Gisborne, North IslandSeeking a PGY3 Registrar in general medicine for an exclusively nocturnal permanent full-time job in the medical department of a regional base secondary hospital covering a large region of New Zealand's North Island east coast.Position Highlights115 bed general hospital providing secondary medical and surgical services with tertiary referral to Hamilton.Medical Department is accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for Basic and Advanced Trainees.Suitable job for PGY3+ physicians with experience in general medicine.Work 40 hours a week from 10pm-8am assisting junior doctors with admissions and acute issues.Procedural skills are required though this is not a heavy workload.The opportunity to develop skills in general medicine.Inpatient duties include participation in medical admissions and management with an unselected medical take.Educational opportunities include weekly journal club, protected teaching, and clinical skills sessions.Remuneration: Salary and AllowancesSalary dependent upon experience and STONZ/ NZRDA scales.Superannuation 6%.6 weeks annual leave.Study leave 10 days PA plus NZD 16K PA.Generous relocation package to ease your relocation.Reimbursement of costs of medical practice.Professional RequirementsMedical Degree.PGY3 level.Eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.Gisborne, New Zealand is recognized as an ideal place to raise a family, offering access to outstanding leisure pursuits and a caring, safe community.
