We are seeking a Night Shift Operations Manager to oversee and lead our warehouse team in a fast-paced, food-focused FMCG business. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of mid and night shift warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of stock, maintaining food safety standards, and driving a culture of teamwork and high performance. You will play a pivotal role in managing people, processes and systems in a food logistics environment where accuracy, speed, and safety are critical.
What You'll Do: Lead and Motivate the Team: Inspire, organize, and guide the mid/night shift warehouse teams. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and high performance, ensuring clear communication and operational excellence.Be hands on: Understand the shifts jobs and their processes inside/out, communicate and demonstrate expectations, and lead by example.Oversee Operational Efficiency: Manage the operations of the warehouse, pick/packing and loadout ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and maintain a clean, efficient, and organized warehouse environment. Drive process improvements to enhance speed and accuracy.Staff Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop shift leaders and warehouse staff setting clear goals to build skill sets to promote growth within the team.Roster and Resource Management: Oversee staffing levels and shift patterns to ensure operational efficiency while managing overtime and attendance.Maintain Food Safety and Compliance Standards: Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations, product handling, and hygiene practices. Foster a culture of safety and ensure that all staff understand and adhere to these standards.Safety & Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of health and safety in line with industry regulations.
