We are on the lookout for a Night Manager to lead our team, plan, drive and deliver results while executing the day-to-day operations. This role will see you reporting directly into the National Logistics Manager. The role being a Night Manager will commence from 2pm and generally be Monday through Friday, however on occasion some weekend work maybe required.
About The Role
Responsible for managing our busy freight station facility to ensure the successful implementation of the operational plan and adherence to health and safety policies and procedures. This is a fast-paced role with high devanning container volumes with a mixture of permanent and temp labour.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for warehouse KPI's to ensure they are in line with the company financial plan. Build key relationships with contractors, regulatory bodies (MPI and Asure Quality) and third-party suppliers to ensure a cost effective, efficient operation on site. Including but not limited to Kiwi Rail, pest management, maintenance etc. Ensure the customer experience is exceptional, with regulatory requirements and compliance functions adhered to. Work in conjunction with the administration/dispatch team to maximise efficiency in product, transport and storage. Lead a positive culture of performance, quality and accountability. About You
You will have previous experience within the logistics environment ideally 3 years, experience in FMCG will be looked at favourably. At least 3-5 years of people management experience. Proven leadership and coaching capabilities with proven results. You will be a great communicator and collaborator. Building rapport and being an influencer come naturally to you. An exceptional problem solver and someone who can adapt to a changing environment. You will be competent with Excel and all Microsoft Suites. Why You'll Love Working Here
