The team: Join our esteemed McCain Hastings team, where we take pride in producing and packaging high-quality vegetables for both domestic and international markets.
The role: We are on the hunt for a natural leader with a knack for problem solving and fostering teamwork. You will be a leader who is ready to bring fresh perspectives and energy to our dynamic team.
As a key player in our organisation, you will lead by example and make a real difference in our manufacturing operations.
Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing plant. You'll have great communication skills and a positive can-do attitude.
Working 12-hour fixed night shifts (6pm – 6am), 4 nights on then 4 nights off, you'll hold yourself and your team accountable while collaborating between departments.
Key tasks include: Organise daily schedules, assign tasks, and oversee the activities of production personnel
Lead and inspire your team to consistently achieve KPIs while prioritising and upholding health and safety standards
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, empowering team members to voice their ideas and implement solutions that enhance safety, quality and productivity
Ensuring reporting is completed accurately and on time
Oversee and ensure compliance with all food safety requirements and regulations
About you: Proven leader - previous experience leading a team, ideally in FMCG/food processing
Flexibility and adaptability – in a fast-paced environment, things can change quickly, and we need someone who can roll with the punches and adapt on the fly.
A natural curiosity and a willingness to challenge the status quo – we're looking for someone who's eager to push boundaries and explore new possibilities
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential – we believe in the power of teamwork and open dialogue.
