Remarkable People are looking for a Cyclic Maintenance Operator to join our well-established client based in Hamilton/Waikato.Job Type: Full time Temp PositionShift: Short term Placement29th September - 11th October Night ShiftJob Description:As a Cyclic Maintenance Operator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance operations ensuring safety, quality, and efficient completion of various tasks. These tasks include: Pothole repairs Edge break repairs Wire rope barrier and guardrail repairs Sweeping Marker peg placement Roadside rubbish collection Road sign maintenance Culvert cleaning Emergency response Key Responsibilities: Initiate and participate in tailgate meetings, safety projects, quality projects, and audit teams. Order materials as required. Document dayworks, unscheduled works, emergency works, timesheets, and all other necessary documentation. Liaise with clients effectively. Ensure vehicles under your control are well-maintained both visually and mechanically. Essential Skills and Attributes: Effective communication skills for interacting on a non-technical level. Problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities onsite. Ability to achieve or exceed targeted productivities and quality standards. Traffic management qualification preferred (training provided if necessary). Proficiency with smart phone and tablet applications. Valid Class 2 Drivers licence, WTR (wheels, tracks, rollers) certification is advantageous. Knowledge in equipment selection, operation, and basic troubleshooting. Experience with assembling safety fences and environmental controls. Efficient use of plant and materials. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to read written instructions, maps, and plans. Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in road construction and maintenance. Understanding of machine and tool design, use, repair, and maintenance. Competence in arithmetic and other mathematical operations.
