What will I be doing?
In your new role as Night Manager, you will be the sole Manager on Duty, responsible for the all aspects of the safe, compliant and effective operation of the Hotel, taking ownership of the safety & security of the hotel between 11pm-7am. More specifically you will:
Represent the General Manager and Front Office Manager in their absence.
Complete Night Audit procedures and tasks, including running financial reports, investigate anomalies and complete any other end-of-night tasks.
Maintain quietness, order and safety and security in the hotel.
Carry out regular security walks and check all areas of the hotel (quality and presence).
Follow procedures and give instruction to guests and team members in the event of an evacuation/fire alarm or other emergencies (i.e. earthquake, bomb threats).
Provide all hotel guests and visitors with a warm welcome to the hotel.
Participate in regular communication meetings and training as scheduled to improve self and department standards.
Ensure effective communication between Front Desk team and all other areas of the hotel on a daily basis.
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience and be strong in developing relationships with team members, accounts, representatives and other key business partners. To be successful in this role you will have:
1 year in Professional Front Office Management.
2 years of Night Audit experience.
Excellent leadership, inter-personal, training and development skills.
Strong Guest Relations experience and knowledge of Front of House systems, specifically OnQ.
Positive attitude & the flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
Committed to delivering a high level of customer service, both internally and externally.
A Tertiary level qualification or equivalent experience.
