This role is very hands-on and involves all aspects of Front Desk operations and ensuring the safety of the hotel overnight.
Key responsibilities include welcoming late arrivals, auditing the day's transactions, preparation of daily reports, attending to reservations, and handling guest complaints and challenges.This is a full-time permanent position, working night shifts between the hours of 11:00pm - 07:30am on a rotating roster, with flexibility to support business needs as required.Your Duties Will IncludeEffectively manage the daily reconciliation of the hotel's trading.Check and prepare reports and statistical information in accordance with service standards and auditing procedures during the night shift.Represent the General Manager in their absence, holding responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the hotel's overnight operation.Ensure maximum guest satisfaction as well as the safety and security of the property.QualificationsRequirements for this role include:Previous experience as a Night Manager in a medium to large hotel.Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism or Management.Ability to resolve complaints and challenges.Opera experience is preferred.Full NZ Drivers License.LCQ qualification and current Managers Certificate.Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.First Aid Certificate.Additional InformationAt Novotel Christchurch we are a friendly and welcoming team who actively support a positive work environment and encourage our team members to grow and learn within our company.We are an inclusive company with an ambition to attract, recruit and promote individuals with diverse talent.BenefitsFree staff meals on duty.Refer a Friend Bonus.Accommodation discounts and food & beverage discounts of up to 30% within the Pacific.Learn your way – support your career development with access to Accor's training platforms.Accor paid parental leave.We will be back in touch with candidates from the 6th of January 2025.
