Position Title: NICU Nursing Administrator
Where you will be working: Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Waikato Hospital
The details: Permanent, 32 hours per week

The Newborn Unit is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic administrator with administration experience to be a part of their busy team.
Along with excellent administration skills, the tasks you will be expected to undertake may vary across our service, so flexibility and self-management skills are key to this role.
Key responsibilities of the role:

This role works closely with the NICU Charge Nurse Manager, supporting them in the day-to-day administration and operation of the unit from a nursing perspective.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a 'can do' attitude who likes variety and is willing to go the extra mile. If you enjoy a challenge and are a fast learner, this could be the role for you - we look forward to receiving your application.
Key tasks in this position are, but are not limited to: assisting with Onestaff (leave/rostering/pay), recruitment admin requirements/access, minutes, ordering and stock control, Datix reporting, newsletter creation and other day-to-day duties.

The successful applicant will possess the following competencies:
Outstanding administration and telephonic skills - healthcare experience preferred
Accurate computer and data entry skill; good attention to detail
Self-motivated
Strong customer focus
Process and procedure orientated
Flexibility and willingness to work with changing priorities - essential
Great interpersonal skills and good team player
Knowledge of the hospital information systems is an advantage
