Our client is seeking to appoint General Radiologists to work up to approximately 40 hours per week. Vacancies exist in both Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals.
Special interest in Paediatric and/or Chest imaging would be beneficial, though all areas of subspecialty interest will be considered.
The Tauranga Radiology department comprises of four general rooms (including one room in the Emergency Department), two Toshiba CT scanners, five colour doppler ultrasound machines, and a Siemens fluoroscopy suite. A private MRI facility is operational on-site.
The Whakatane radiology department comprises of two general rooms, a Toshiba Prime CT scanner, and two colour doppler ultrasound machines.
The appointee would join a medical staff of 21 other Radiologists and 6 Registrars. The radiology services workload comprises of general radiology, ultrasound, MDCT, angiography, and a range of interventional procedures. An on-call component allows us to offer a 24-hour acute service with overnight reporting provided by teleradiology services.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be eligible for registration as a Specialist Diagnostic Radiologist with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
