The Communication and Publishing Department (CPD) is seeking to appoint two (2) Project Managers for the Pacific Area Office based in Takapuna, Auckland.
This is a permanent full-time position reporting to the Area Production Manager.The Project Manager will play a crucial role in our mission to localize, adapt and spread the message of the restored Church of Jesus Christ in the Pacific Area and around the world.
The team is dedicated to creating engaging, unified messaging that reaches and inspires people globally delivered through various platforms including TV, film, web, print, mobile, and social media, in multiple languages.
We are constantly seeking innovative ways to bring the world unto Christ.The work of the Project Manager will involve broad knowledge and expertise in cinematography/videography, broadcast mixing, sound design, show directing, and video/film editing to complete challenging assignments, and other various experience in the media management industry.
The work will deliver impactful messages that resonate with diverse audiences.ResponsibilitiesProduction Support for all local and HQ productsPlan and conduct assignments, often involving major projects or multiple projects simultaneouslyManaging the resources required for production, including equipment, materials, and personnel.
This also involves negotiating contracts with vendors and service providers when necessary.
Review progress and evaluate results to ensure high-quality outcomesSchedule and supervise project work, providing guidance and support to team members and contractorsAct as a liaison with other departments, divisions, and stakeholdersEvaluate progress and results, recommending changes in procedures as neededOperate with considerable latitude for unreviewed action or decision-makingQualificationsAn inherent dedication to exceptional service and customer careBachelor's degree or equivalent experience/PMP Certification preferredMore than 8 years of professional experience with strong organizational and communication skillsDemonstrated competence as a professional with proven leadership abilitiesExperience in a supervisory role is a plusNote: Only candidates who have legal work eligibility to hold employment in New Zealand should apply.About UsChurch employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord's work.
