New-Graduate Physiotherapist Role – Rotational - Greymouth New-graduatePhysiotherapist Role – rotationalFull timePermanent Role based in Greymouth (40hrs/week)Join our supportiveand friendly teamRegistration with the NZ Physiotherapy Boardand current APC is essentialMy strength, is not the strength of one, it is the strength of manyMo te tunga | About the roleThe Allied Health team at Te NikauHospital is looking for a New-Graduate NZ registered Physiotherapist to joinour team of enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated multidisciplinaryprofessionals.Our teamprovides a range of inpatient, outpatient and community based health servicesfor the community. The rotational role has opportunitiesfor learning within inpatients medicine/surgical/AT&R, outpatients MSK& community care. There may also be opportunities to travelto other locations throughout the West Coast.Within the wider AH team, we have asmall team of Physiotherapists who work together to provide a generalistservice. This role will give you the opportunity to further your experienceworking across a wide range of specialties and advance your practical skills.These clinical opportunities will develop your assessment, treatment,rehabilitation and discharge planning skills to a very high level. You will besupported by the Clinical Lead Physiotherapy and be given clinical supervision,mentoring and professional support. We also offer an Allied Health new-graduateprogramme.This is apermanent full-time opportunity working 40hrs per week.Therequired days of the role are Monday to Friday 0800-1630 with occasionalweekend work, mostly Saturdays.What you'll do with your timeAssessment and treatment of Surgical, Medical and AT&Rinpatients with appropriate goal setting and outcome measuresSupport transition from inpatients intocommunityWork as an integral part of the inpatientinter-disciplinary teamSupport the outpatient and community teamas necessaryLiaising with all appropriate healthprofessionals and other agencies to ensure we achieve the best outcomesfor our patientsProviding education for thefamilies/whanau and carers of our patients as necessaryKo wai koe | About YouThe ability to work effectively under pressureThe ability to be an effective teammember, recognising the importance of team workThe ability to work independently, yet seek support when neededStrong communication skills and cultural awarenessYou must be flexible with excellent timemanagementHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Te Tai o Poutini | West Coast are proud of how wedo things.
