Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is inviting student Midwives graduating in 2024 to join our 2025 New Graduate Programme. The programme offers the Voluntary Bonding Scheme and is tailored to meet your individual needs and encourages you to consolidate your knowledge across a variety of settings. We would love you to start your Midwifery career with us!
Taranaki Base Hospital has a secondary maternity unit, the birthing suite and antenatal ward are combined with six birthing rooms and seven antenatal beds. The postnatal ward consists of 14 beds. The neo-natal unit has level 2A accreditation with 6 cots and 2 Intensive care cots to provide care for babies from 28 weeks gestation. Hawera Hospital has a primary maternity unit. A new state-of-the-art maternity and neonatal unit is currently under construction.
Minimum Requirements:
Completed Undergraduate Midwifery studies and be eligible to be registered with the New Zealand Midwifery Council.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be able to work rostered and rotating shifts.
