Specialist Neurologist Where you'll be working: Neurology Department, Hamilton City The details: Permanent, Full-time position Neurology at Hamilton has a great opportunity for someone who is motivated and dynamic and is looking to join a supportive and enthusiastic team. We provide both secondary and tertiary level inpatient, day-patient, outpatient, and neurophysiology services to both local and regional populations with close links to the regional Neurosurgery Unit. The appointee will be involved in teaching, continuing medical education, and quality improvement. There is an emphasis on ongoing development of services to meet the needs of our patients. A commitment to customer focus, service development, and teamwork are essential. What can we offer you? You will be part of a dedicated team of neurologists, registrars, clinical nurse specialists, allied health, and administrative staff. The applicant must be a passionate team player and must be eligible for or working toward vocational registration in New Zealand. Fellowship training in EMG/NCS or equivalent and clinical expertise in Botox treatment would be an advantage. Why us: The employer is one of the largest of 20 DHBs in New Zealand. The Hospital in Hamilton is one of New Zealand's largest tertiary teaching hospitals with over 600 inpatient beds and 22 operating theatres. Clinical specialties include Women's and Children Services, Cardiology/Cardiothoracic Surgery, Oncology and Haematology, Surgical services, and Mental Health and Addiction. The Hospital is the Midland regional referral centre for multiple specialties including trauma surgery, oncology, and neurology.
