The Network Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining water, wastewater and stormwater networks. Appropriately respond to these in a timely manner, assessing and coordinating remedial action if required.Accurately log all reports and jobs, completing the necessary paperwork and filing where requiredParticipate in the development and implementation of Capital Works improvement programsProvide network operations support to the Technical Engineer and Supervisor undertaking minor repairs, assisting with major repairs and replacing reticulated pipelinesPositively contribute to the district based operations teams by fostering effective working relationships with field, engineering and management staff, client representatives and customers and suppliers.Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customersWhat you'll need to be successfulAn effective communicator who can interact and relate to staff at all levels of the organisation, and the client / customers.Willing to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues for a harmonious team environmentA self-starter who can work with a high degree of autonomyPlanning and organisational abilityProven ability to maintain accurate work recordsHigh degree of personal integrityA good work ethicConfidence in one's own judgement and capabilityCan maintain a stable performance level during periods of pressureAble to quickly adapt to changing circumstancesGood literacy and numeracy skillsWilling to complete further training as requiredComputer literateCurrent full driver's licence (preferably with Class 2)Wheels, Tracks & Rollers endorsementsTraffic Management (preferred)Working Heights (preferred)Confined Space (preferred)National Certificate in Water Reticulation (preferred)Ability and willingness to work out of hours when requiredParticipation in on-call rosterBasic understanding of Health and Safety legislation.A Veolia CareerAt Veolia Australia and New Zealand, you'll join a team of over 4000 passionate innovators and good humans.
