Join our team in Hawera - South Taranaki as a Network operator and play a crucial role in maintaining our community's wastewater infrastructure. The Network Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining water, wastewater and stormwater networks. The Network Operator is to ensure service delivery demonstrates Veolia's commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and customer service while meeting performance and key performance indicators and applying health and safety procedures.

Appropriately respond to these in a timely manner, assessing and coordinating remedial action if required. Accurately log all reports and jobs, completing the necessary paperwork and filing where required Participate in the development and implementation of Capital Works improvement programs Provide network operations support to the Technical Engineer and Supervisor undertaking minor repairs, assisting with major repairs and replacing reticulated pipelines Positively contribute to the district based operations teams by fostering effective working relationships with field, engineering and management staff, client representatives and customers and suppliers. Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customers What you'll need to be successful An effective communicator who can interact and relate to staff at all levels of the organisation, and the client / customers. Willing to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues for a harmonious team environment A self-starter who can work with a high degree of autonomy Planning and organisational ability Proven ability to maintain accurate work records High degree of personal integrity A good work ethic Confidence in one's own judgement and capability Can maintain a stable performance level during periods of pressure Able to quickly adapt to changing circumstances Good literacy and numeracy skills Willing to complete further training as required Computer literate Current full driver's licence (preferably with Class 2) Wheels, Tracks & Rollers endorsements Traffic Management (preferred) Working Heights (preferred) Confined Space (preferred) National Certificate in Water Reticulation (preferred) Ability and willingness to work out of hours when required Participation of on-call roster Basic Understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
