The opportunity: Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a Network Systems Manager.
In this role, you will be responsible for allocating and coordinating resources to various existing and new sites across New Zealand with relevant IT solutions to ensure our services meet site requirements within agreed timeframes and budget delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Your knowledge of network systems will allow you to resolve issues in a timely manner while identifying and suggesting continuous improvements in line with our Fulton Hogan strategy and desired outcomes.
As a leader in our Technical Services team, you will support, mentor, and develop your team of engineers to achieve their full potential.
In addition to the above you will: Provide input/insights into IT strategic planning in line with Fulton Hogan IT goals and objectives.
Suggest continuous improvement of IT systems in line with Fulton Hogan strategic goals and industry best practices.
Manage vendor relationships and delivery of services.
Create, evaluate, and select options for appropriate technology solutions.
Develop, design, and implement infrastructure projects.
Support, develop and mentor a small team of engineers.
To be successful in this role, you will have: A relevant IT systems degree from a recognised University or tertiary provider.
A minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role with a major company.
Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
Advanced knowledge of LANs, WANs, Networks, and switches.
The ability to provide support to the Microsoft Windows Server 2019 or later.
Advanced knowledge of Active Directory.
Demonstrate competency in Aruba Central, Airwave & Clearpass.
Demonstrate competency in Checkpoint and Fortinet products, functionality, and support tools.
Project planning and specification skills, together with problem solving and analysis abilities.
You will be a supportive and collaborative leader with a passion for developing and growing talent.
