Network Connections Analyst - 6 months fixed-term

We are looking for a Network Connections Analyst to join our wider Strategy and Finance team for a fixed term. It goes without saying your attention to detail will be top notch, and you'll be thorough, accurate and sharp when it comes to data. You'll dive into various data sets, analyse them, cross-check the information, and report your findings. Interpreting the results accurately will be a key part of your day, supporting informed decision making in the organisation.

About the role
As a Network Connection Analyst, you'll be at the heart of creating new electricity installations (ICPs) and ensuring all the details for electricity and gas installations are spot-on in Powerco's Customer Works Management System (CWMS) and the Registry. You'll also play a key part in gas and electricity audits, making sure everything meets industry standards. Plus, you'll help maintain great relationships between Powerco and its stakeholders.
We're after an inquisitive problem solver that likes to know why and how things work who will help the Billing and Reconciliation team to strive for continuous improvement. We value free thinkers who are keen to bring fresh perspectives to solving problems.
To be a success in this role, you will need:
You'll need to bring your intermediate to advanced Excel skills to the table, as they're essential for excelling in this role.
Ability to process weekly reconciliations, validations, and provide analytical information is essential. Understanding regulatory requirements and continuously monitoring ICP attributes is key.
Experience in working collaboratively with team members and supporting internal and external stakeholders is vital.
Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box will help in system fixes, process improvements, and handling various tasks.
It would ideal if you have:
A continuous improvement mindset, actively participating in process and system reviews, gathering feedback, and leading the charge on proposed changes to drive ongoing success and innovation in the role.
