Netballsmart Development Officer

Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty Zone is one of five Zones affiliated to Netball New Zealand that oversees the promotion, development, and growth of community netball. The Zone encompasses 23 Centres located throughout Waikato, Bay of Plenty, and Gisborne.We are seeking a NetballSmart Development Officer (NSDO) to join our team and be responsible for leading the delivery of Netball New Zealand's NetballSmart Strategy with a focus on decreasing serious injuries in Netball participants, through the provision of programmes and initiatives that:Prevent injury and enhance performanceImprove player wellbeing and welfareIncrease awareness and engagement with the NetballSmart philosophy and programmesThe successful applicant will have a background in Physiotherapy or Sports Science and/or Strength and Conditioning with knowledge of injury prevention strategies in sport. Netball knowledge, and experience in delivery of workshops is also required.You will be a skilled communicator, highly organised, well-planned and reliable. The ability to build and maintain a network of strong relationships and work closely with NNZ, Zone and Centre staff and volunteers in the Netball community is essential.This is a full time 40hr per week fixed term role (ending 31st October 2026).
