Job DescriptionSGS New Zealand is looking to boost its talented team by filling the following position: NDT Inspector in ChristchurchWe are looking for an NDT Inspector to join our team to fill a fulltime permanent role working in our NDT & Materials Engineering facility in Christchurch.Our client base is extensive, and we operate in all major industrial groups from dairy, power generation, oil and gas, chemical, pulp and paper process plants through to constructions, building and light engineering.
Reporting to the Operational Manager the primary responsibility of the Inspectors role is to carry out general NDT and welding inspections in accordance with relevant codes and standards to ensure our client requirements are met.
This can be testing on a variety of products and components covering: metals, plastics, construction and building materials.
The Inspector also provides consultancy services to assist our clients with their technical challenges and maintenance.QualificationsIf you have the below qualities we are interested to hear from you:Minimum two Level 2 certifications such as: MT, PT, ET, RT, UT, Coatings, Welding, API's, PAUT, etc.ISO 9712 UT2w certification is criticalMinimum 5 years practical work experience in NDTCustomer and client service focus.A current driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites around NZ.Able to use computers and technology.Able to work well with others in a team environment.
