Auckland City, AucklandFull-time, Permanent**THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO ST JOHN MEMBERS ONLY**National Operations Manager - EAS VolunteeringReporting to the Director of Operations, the National Operations Manager - Emergency Ambulance Services (EAS) Volunteering is responsible for leading and managing the development, maintenance and delivery of a plan that ensures the ongoing viability of volunteering, in support of EAS.This role permanent full-time and can be based in Auckland and Christchurch.The role:The role will drive the sustainability, growth and viability of the volunteer ambulance workforce to ensure St John maintains an engaged and professional volunteer community. One which works side by side in a mutually respectful relationship with their paid colleagues to deliver the best outcomes for our patients, and customers. This will be done by:Developing, delivering and maintaining a plan to ensure the ongoing viability of volunteering to support EASincorporating all applicable aspects of the Volunteer Sustainability Strategy (VSS)working with District Operations Managers to determine and apply the volunteer workforceworking with the Talent Sourcing team to Improve the process for recruitment, onboarding and induction/ education of EAS volunteers.To succeed in this role, you will have:A minimum of Level 3 New Zealand Certificate in Emergency Care (First Responder)Out-of-hospital clinical experience is strongly desiredExperience as a volunteer or of volunteering and its challenges.Evidence of ability and success in leading, motivating and inspiring othersVolunteer ambulance experience in EAS will be an advantage.First rate communication skills are essential as you'll be in constant contact with stakeholders throughout the organisation - both technical and non-technical.
