We are currently on the lookout for a National Manufacturing Manager (based in Palmerston North) to lead our large team across our nationwide manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities of this position will include:Providing leadership and support to manufacturing teams across our three sites (Palmerston North, Christchurch and Ashburton), ensuring the production of high-quality products that meet customer needs and business objectives.You will play a vital decision-making role in the Iplex Senior Leadership team, support innovation projects and develop and implement manufacturing strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve safety and quality standards.Identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation innovation to drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing operations.Bringing a collaborative approach with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, quality, engineering and maintenance to ensure seamless coordination of manufacturing activities.Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and KPIs to ensure the achievement of business goals and objectives.Qualifications and Requirements include:Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in manufacturing management roles, ideally within the plastics or building materials sector.Knowledgeable in EHS and compliance standards, coupled with proven experience in instilling a safety-first culture.Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and people management skills, with experience leading teams of 100+ employees.Robust analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, demonstrating effectiveness in achieving both immediate and long-term performance.Proven track record of driving operational excellence and process improvement in a manufacturing environment.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire and engage stakeholders and team members effectively.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making.If you are a highly motivated manufacturing leader with a passion for driving operational excellence, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
