Are you ready to lead the charge in shaping the strategic direction of NZTA Waka Kotahi? We're looking for a visionary National Manager - Strategy to drive our long-term planning and foster innovation within our land transport system.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Shape strategic direction through the development and implementation of a comprehensive 10 to 30-year land transport strategy that aligns with the needs of central and local government while enhancing system outcomes.
Lead our future-thinking and strategic foresight capabilities, enabling transformative improvements in the land transport landscape.
Build strong relationships across NZTA and with system partners, ensuring a unified approach to achieving our common goals.
Provide expert advice to the Executive Leadership Team and Board on strategic priorities and stakeholder alignment.

Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering system and organisational strategy, in a complex and demanding multi-stakeholder environment.
Over 10 years in leading multi-disciplinary teams in complex organisations.
Understanding of land transport network systems and government policies.
Ability to engage and align with stakeholders at all levels, building credibility and influence.
A track record of developing high-performing teams and fostering a positive team culture.
Strong ability to leverage cross-functional insights for strategic decision-making.
A mix of private and public sector experience would be highly beneficial.
