We encourage career development, support flexibility, and care about your personal wellbeing and safety.About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to lead and enhance the health, safety, environmental, and quality frameworks within designated business units at Programmed Group.In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic oversight and operational support, driving engagement with key stakeholders to uphold and exceed compliance with HSEQ standards.
You will be responsible for implementing, managing, and refining HSEQ policies and systems while ensuring alignment with regulatory and company compliance requirements.
Additionally, you will lead continual improvement initiatives to maintain and elevate standards of excellence and support the development of a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.This permanent, full-time position can be based in either Auckland or Wellington, New Zealand, and plays a crucial part in cultivating our safety culture and contributing to important services for the community.Key Benefits for the position and employment at Programmed include:Attractive salary packageSalary packaging and novated vehicle leasing benefitsBenefits program with retail and other discounts such as corporate health insurancePaid parental leave & EAP which incorporates tailored well-being programLong term career potential and development opportunitiesKey Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of HSEQ policies and processes.Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and ethical standards.Provide technical HSEQ guidance and operational support across Programmed.Maintain incident management system and handle incident notifications as required.Implement and develop initiatives from HSEQ improvement plans and address concerns promptly.Collate relevant HSEQ data and provide reports as required.Coach, manage, and upskill staff, employees, field employees, and contractors across Programmed.Undertake audits and site inspections to measure systems performance and ensure improvements are actioned.Establish close working relationships with key stakeholders and support client HSEQ interventions aligned with Programmed's values.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will be a motivated professional with a 'can-do' attitude, experience in people management, and a drive for top-notch service delivery gained through HSEQ or risk and compliance coordination experience.
A background or strong knowledge of facilities services, education, or similar high-risk industries is highly desirable, however not essential (utilities, transport, manufacturing, construction, ports, major hazard facilities, etc.
