As part of that journey, we are looking to appoint a new created, National Environmental Resources Manager to provide strategic oversight for environmental management for Fonterra's manufacturing operations. In this role you will be reporting to the GM of Water and Environment and will have 1 direct report at this stage who will be an Environmental Program Lead. Overseeing national programs of work, you'll ensure Fonterra is focused on current and future environmental requirements and aligned to specific water and wastewater strategies that you will be responsible for creating.The ideal candidate will be based at our offices either in Auckland, Hamilton, or Christchurch. The key purpose this role is to Development of Water & Wastewater Strategies for NZM sites for Fonterra including aligning others to the strategy and ensuring business buy-in Ensuring programs of work within the team are aligned to strategy and are delivered within scope, time, and budget Open reviews with the Water & Environment team to guarantee correct technologies and innovations are being selected to enable capital solutions be future fit Actively participate, build and grow proactive relationships with iwi and community on programs of work About youTo make this role a success you will have an extensive technical background in the Environmental or Sustainability space at a leadership level, having previously lead high performing teams. In addition, you will have: Post Graduate Tertiary Qualification in Science or Engineering Strong experience working for Council Demonstrable experience in having led large programmes or projects, including managing change Strong leadership in proactive community and iwi engagement at a national level as well as a deep experience in managing external environmental agencies Proven robust stakeholder management on large scale projects, with conflict resolution skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an attention to detail in producing reports An understanding of environmental data reporting and its usage with the ability to innovate enhancements to meet Fonterra's need Our StoryWhanaungatanga, our Co-operative spirit gives us all a common strength and purpose.
