As we continue to expand, we've created a new position for someone to take the lead in our Fleet Management nationally and bring a commercial focus to the operation and broader network. As our National Commercial Freight Manager, you'll be at the forefront of optimising our freight operations for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Your purpose This is a pivotal role, where you'll be instrumental in maximising the performance of our national freight operations with a focus on driving financial performance, and compliance, enhancing safety measures, and ensuring exceptional service performance across our fleet and network. Your Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategies to optimise our freight network with a focus on commercial results and efficiency gains. Manage the commercial truck fleet, ensuring all R & M, compliance and service providers are in order to ensure no business interruption. Evaluate and manage cost and performance variances, implementing necessary improvements to enhance overall efficiency. Lead the nationwide expansion of our freight services, identifying opportunities for growth and recommending additional locations and services. Provide critical support to branch teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and alignment with safety, service, and financial goals. Ensure all compliance aspects are kept up-to-date with a robust reporting programme Your skills and attributes to align with this role: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Extensive experience (5+ years) in Freight & Logistics, demonstrating strong leadership and analytical skills. Strong fleet management leadership with a strategic and proactive approach to superior service. Exceptional communication abilities and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement. A strategic mindset with the confidence to challenge the status quo and provide meaningful recommendations.
