Mylk Senior Chef - Savoury

As a Senior Chef in the MYLK ready meal business, your primary responsibility will be for the preparation and cooking of meals in the kitchen. You will work with a team of cooks and preparation staff, ensuring that all meals are prepared according to established recipes and quality standards and prepared on time.Your specific duties will include:Working alongside designated kitchen staff ensuring everything is being done correctly and supporting the MYLK Kitchen Operations Manager.Assisting the MYLK Kitchen Ops Manager to ensure the kitchen works within agreed budgets and meal costings, including assisting with the ordering of meal ingredients.Responsible for following the MYLK recipes exactly, ensuring the same product every time.Menu development alongside the Management Team – design new dishes and record the recipe to add to the MYLK recipe collection.Kitchen staff training and mentorship, where required, in conjunction with the Kitchen Operations Manager.Ensuring that all food safety and sanitation protocols are being followed in the kitchen.Training and supervising kitchen staff in the proper preparation and cooking techniques where required.Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.Continuously evaluating and improving the efficiency and quality of kitchen operations and providing feedback to the Kitchen Operations Manager.Your application will include the following questions:Do you have experience training & managing kitchen staff?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a chef?
