Mo Tenei Turanga Mahi - About the Role
The role will cover a range of skills needed to teach into the Bachelor of Music Theatre and Certificate of Performing Arts. The skill set may include: Acting, Music Direction, Voice, Singing, Professional studies. Delivery is an immersive model of teaching and learning with a focus on integration of skills and knowledge.
Nga Pukenga Me Nga Wheako - Skills and Experience
A degree in Bachelor Music Theatre or a related discipline
Current industry/discipline knowledge
An Ara-recognised teaching qualification
10 years' experience in musical theatre
Skills in working in the performing arts industry
Vision, innovation and a commitment to facilitating own and others' learning.
The ability to integrate industry experience in teaching
Digital literacy including - competence using a computer (including Microsoft office products)
Effective communication with a diverse range of others, at all levels within and outside the organisation
Works collaboratively and co-operatively, contributes to teams.
Passionate about teaching and learning and the opportunities to improve practice or give back to the industry through education.
Is willing to commit to Academic Staff Capability Framework and Policy Framework for Teaching and Learning
