The Role The Timaru District Council is seeking TWO Mower Operators to join our newly created team. This hands-on position is responsible for the direct in-house maintenance of the Council's parks and other green spaces. As a Mower Operator, you will upkeep the quality and beauty of our district's greenspaces to make a positive impact.
This job involves maintaining lawns, gardens, and greenspaces using various powered tools, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and that safety procedures are followed, especially when working near the public. You will undertake mowing, edging, fertilizing, turf maintenance as well as minor repairs when required. You will also be assisting the gardening and maintenance team when required.
We are looking for someone with proven experience with ride-on mowers and tractors in a related role. If you have a passion for horticulture and the skills to maintain and enhance our greenspaces, we would love to hear from you!
This is a permanent role and offers 40 hours per week. The hourly rate for this role is $28.07 - $28.91. Applications close at 5:00pm, 22nd September 2024. You must have the right to live and work in this location to apply for this job.
