Reporting to the Foreperson, you will carry out the machine operation for the completion of road mowing activities which includes verge, berm and batter mowing using a tractor-mounted flail mower.
This is a permanent, full-time role working a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday typically starting at 6am on a rotating on-call duty roster. The ideal candidate will need to have the flexibility to work additional days/hours to meet the business needs.
This role will be commencing on or after 13 January 2025.
Skills & Experience Ability to operate a flail mower with minimal breakdownsMechanically minded, able to complete simple repairs on mowing gearFull current Class 1 licence and Wheels, Tracks and Rollers endorsement is a mustA basic traffic control qualificationHighest commitment to health and safetyAn ability, willingness and commitment to be multi-skilled and up-skilledA reasonable level of physical fitness due to the physical nature of the positionBe a reliable, honest and flexible team-playerHiggins is a leading roading and civil infrastructure company in New Zealand.
