This job is required to perform:
Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition, necessary repairs, and maintenance options.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment and manual inspection.
Inspect vehicle systems and components to identify potential issues and provide preventative maintenance recommendations.
Replace or repair faulty parts and components, such as brakes, steering, suspension, and exhaust systems.
Liaise with suppliers to order special parts and components when necessary.
Test and calibrate mechanical components following repairs to ensure they operate correctly and meet performance standards.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including oil changes, brake repairs, engine diagnostics, and transmission repairs.
Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Stay updated on the latest automotive technology, tools, and repair techniques.
Job requirements:
At least three years' experience working as a Motor Mechanic; OR
A New Zealand qualification in the automotive engineering field.
Good customer communication skills.
Be physically fit.
Ability to work well in a team.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to learn and adapt to new repair techniques.
