Motion Editor

We are a Wellington, NZ based feature film production company creating movies in an AR/VR space. We are building a team of Motion Editors that have a passion for motion capture and its use in virtual production.
The team will be responsible for taking body motion performance from the virtual stage all the way through to integration in 3d environments and shots. Editing motion includes adjusting interaction and contacts between characters, props, and environment.
This is a technical artist position, where you will need to be able to catch, analyze and identify technical issues, but will also need a keen eye for motion, timing and posture. Communication skills are important. You are driven, positive, and interested in the opportunity to take your motion capture skills and apply it to the everchanging needs of a cutting-edge film production.
Must Have: Minimum of 3 years professional motion edit experience in games or feature films.Show a proficiency in Motionbuilder, Maya or any major 3d package.Background in Linux and experience with Identify and Nuance is a plus.All applicants must have a high level of attention to detail.The project has an initial delivery in mid-2025 with the potential for ongoing contracts. 
You will be joining a team working at the forefront of digital film-making, with industry leaders. There will be an initial period of training.
The role will be based on-site in Wellington, NZ. You will be engaged as an independent contractor (based on 51.25 hours per week).
