0.2 FTE, District Role
Permanent
We are looking for a dentist to clinically support our Community Oral Health Service. This district wide role offers you the opportunity to primarily undertake hands-on delivery of dental services for children who have treatment needs that are beyond the scope of an Oral Health Therapist. We have a number of fixed and mobile locations throughout the Southern District that you will be required to work at.
You must be comfortable using nitrous oxide sedation in a community setting. Other duties include virtual triage and advice, clinical governance, and advocating innovations for dental health for our Southern district communities. As we enter a period of transformation, there may be further opportunities to treat adolescents and adults. Our Oral Health team works collaboratively with our partners, and our focus is on improving the dental health and wellbeing of our southern communities where we live, learn, work, and play.
Working with us means active participation in a value-based and inclusive organisation; therefore, your leadership and coaching capabilities will play a part in scoping, advocating, and leading the standards of dental health services.
About You
You will already hold registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand. A full driver's licence is required, and travel will be required. Must be able to provide Nitrous Oxide sedation in a community setting.
