About the Role
We are looking for a Mortgage Advisor to join our fast growing, Auckland based team.
The Role will involve:
Prepare home loan applications for submission to lenders for a successful outcome.
Assessing applications for finance and determining suitability of the customer.
Completing finance applications between lenders and customers Meeting sales targets and striving to exceed them.
Update customers on the progress of the lending applications and assist in answering any queries from the lenders.
Obtain approval from the banks and negotiate best possible terms and conditions.
Ensure all home loan applications meet internal and external compliance requirements.
Learn the lending criteria of different lenders and apply them to customer lending needs.
Proficient in spoken English.
Must possess a vehicle.
About you
You're a hungry, self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive for growing a business. You have a passion for customer service and naturally like helping others with advice and guidance. You can quickly cultivate positive relationships with customers. You have experience in a previous mortgage focused role and you aren't afraid of a role where your performance can be measured down to the dollar. You're competitive on results — but collaborative on matters of the team and larger business you'll be part of.
To be successful you must have:
One or two years of experience in lending in NZ.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
A friendly personality and desire to provide exceptional customer service.
Ability to forge strong relationships with customers and peers.
Multitasking and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Current registration as Registered Financial Adviser or pursuing National Certificate in Financial Services – Level 5 will be advantageous.
