We have an opportunity for the position of Mobility Van Drivers in our Company based in Auckland.
We aim to provide our passengers with the best service and the best vehicle, while remaining committed to reducing our environmental impact.
We have vehicles that cater to the special needs of disabled customers.
Our Total Mobility Vehicle include wheelchair lifts and specially trained drivers.
This role requires you to be flexible with working hours which includes weekends, late evening shifts including public holidays (Monday to Sunday from 6AM to 8PM and Wednesday to Saturday 8PM to 2 AM).
This is a full-time vacancy with us which allows you to work for minimum 30 hours to 40 hours from Monday to Sunday, depending on business requirement and as per roaster.
Established Duties and Responsibilities: · As a driver, provide safe and reliable transport for those who require mobility needs that prevent them from travelling independently.
· meeting and greeting your service users.
· Ensuring all passengers adhere to Health & Safety guidelines.
· Where necessary, riding on the tail lift of the transport with your service users.
· Recording and reporting all issues, problems, and feedback on your specified route.
· Where applicable, ensuring the safe transportation of medication.
· Recording and reporting any issues relating to any of the equipment necessary for the safe transportation of the service users.
· Reporting all accidents to management.
· Ensuring your own health, hygiene and appearance are kept to maximum standard requirements.
· Must be readily available for short notice work and be prepared to cover at short notice.
We are looking for: · Should have at least 1 year of relevant work experience or holds Level 2 qualification in driving or higher · Good communication skills, you'll enjoy talking to people!
· Physically fit with an enthusiastic, patient, and caring attitude · A safe and confident driver with a clean record, having held a driving Licence.
· Ability to pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
Please note that you may be required to transport wheelchair users to and from the vehicle, perform manual handling of the wheelchair, and adhere to Health & Safety.
You will also be required to climb steps/stairs, ride on the tail lift, and, where necessary, secure wheelchairs.
